The Handmaid's Tale: The Graphic Novel The Handmaid's Tale: The Graphic Novel by Renée Nault
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have been fascinated by this story since I started watching the TV show. This has become one of my all time favorite stories.

This Graphic Novel follows along with the show. I do love the art work and the strong story behind this. It makes me think of what it could really be like for women if they take our rights away. The story did end a bit different but I see where the ending came from. Based on the show - the women recorded tons of tapes and this ends with references to the tapes.

The government has been taken over and the world they once knew is no longer there. Women no longer have rights and men control it all. Women are used to carry babies to the wives that are unable to conceive. Forced to have monthly routines and ceremonies, this story is sad. I love how strong June is. The TV show is amazing. It is a bit for the mature audiences only so kids allowed for this show peeps.

I don't want to give much since this is such a short novel but I highly recommend it.
