UPDATE: City of Fallen Angels

Apr 18, 2019

City of Fallen Angels City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare
My rating: 0 of 5 stars

Starting book 4 of this series.. I am not sure what to think of this one. I am 5 chapters in and I can see it is focusing on Simon. I am listening to the audio book as I have done with the rest of the series but I don't like the narration change on this one. I don't like when a book changes things up. It throws me off and then it takes me a while to adjust.

Wish me luck on Book 4 of TMI!!

Please give me all your thoughts on this but NO SPOILERS PLEASE!!!!

Review: City of Glass

Apr 16, 2019

City of Glass City of Glass by Cassandra Clare
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Book 1 - City Of Bones - 4 Stars
Book 2 - City Of Ashes - 4 Stars
Book 3 - City Of Glass - 5 Stars

I have took my time reading this book. Since I have already established the world and know the characters, I was not in a big rush to fly through it. It was great read in between other books.

I really enjoyed this book So far out this book has been my favorite of the series. I enjoyed getting to see The City of Glass and I loved the way the world was built. This book took this series to a new level for me.

I love that this series always picks up right off where the last book ended. There is no learning what is going on again but you can just take off right where you ended.

I do think this was supposed to be a trilogy but then 3 more books were added to this series. I know some have so many ways of reading this series but I think I will just continue reading all of TMI series then go on the next spin off. Maybe this will work for me. lol

“You could have had anything else in the world, and you asked for me."
She smiled up at him. Filthy as he was, covered in blood and dirt, he was the most beautiful thing she'd ever seen.
"But I don't want anything else in the world.”

Okay, so we are met with new characters in this book but I loved how Cassie brought them in. Clary was prohibited to enter the City of Glass but Clary being Clary and her little stubborn butt, she did not listen. But seeing how the book was written, Clary of course had to be there. Her best friend has been tossed in prison and she is heart broken to find Jace doesn't want her there. Still fighting the love they have for each other, it becomes harder to hide it in the book. I did see the ending coming only because I have spoiled myself by watching the movies so I knew about the love life of Clary and Jace but I still loved it. Even knowing what I knew, when I read stuff in the books, I was like ... UMMM no. lol.

“There is no pretending," Jace said with absolute clarity. "I love you, and I will love you until I die, and if there is life after that, I'll love you then.”

There were some moments where I was torn apart and others where I started smiling. These characters are so wonderfully written and now I will have to keep reading. I can't wait to see how this world progresses. I love how in this book you also see the Shadowhunters and the Downworlders working together. This story is the best yet.

Review: Username: Evie

Apr 10, 2019

Username: Evie Username: Evie by Joe Sugg
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I came across this at the goodwill and decided to pick it up. It looked very cute and I am so glad I did.

I loved this graphic novel. Also, I the author of this graphic novel, is also a YouTuber. I have yet to check out his channel. I just found this out reading his acknowledgement in the book. I finished reading this book in about 30 minutes. but granted it is a graphic novel and so it was easy to read. I loved the art work. I understood everything the author was trying to convey in the story.

We have a girl named EVIE that is an outsider and her dad is ill and always working. To deal with her issues of abandonment and loneliness, Evie hides away in their refrigerator to collect her thoughts. Her dad over hears here talking about needing a new hiding place because of the issues she is having and he starts to work on a special project for her.

After Evie finds her father passed away, she has to move in with her aunt and uncle which have a daughter that does not like Evie. When Evie discovers something her dad built for her she explores it and well so does her cousin the only thing is, evil and good and can not live in the same world with out chaos.

I love this graphic novel and I will be picking up the others in the series.

Review: The Escape Room

Apr 5, 2019

The Escape Room The Escape Room by Megan Goldin

I am so excited for this book. I had not had my eye on this one but after receiving an email from Kelly from St. Martins about the Blog Tour that is happening July 30th-Aug13th. I was invited to have my blog to participate in the tour, VIA sign up. I was so excited and first I was just excited to see the concept of this book. I immeditaly got on Netgally and requested this book and I was approved. I can not wait to get my read on with the book. I love a good "Escape Room" story.

Goodreads Synopsis:

‘Welcome to the escape room. Your goal is simple. Get out alive.’

In the lucrative world of Wall Street finance, Vincent, Jules, Sylvie and Sam are the ultimate high-flyers. Ruthlessly ambitious, they make billion-dollar deals and live lives of outrageous luxury. Getting rich is all that matters, and they'll do anything to get ahead.

When the four of them become trapped in an elevator escape room, things start to go horribly wrong. They have to put aside their fierce office rivalries and work together to solve the clues that will release them. But in the confines of the elevator the dark secrets of their team are laid bare. They are made to answer for profiting from a workplace where deception, intimidation and sexual harassment thrive.

Tempers fray and the escape room’s clues turn more and more ominous, leaving the four of them dangling on the precipice of disaster. If they want to survive, they’ll have to solve one final puzzle: which one of them is a killer?

'Fantastic – one of my favorite books of the year.' Lee Child
