Daughter of Smoke & Bone

My rating: 0 of 5 stars

What can I say... If you are like me and you are late to these books, its okay, take a breath and read them!!!

“Your soul sings to mine. My soul is yours, and it always will be, in any world. No matter what happens. I need you to remember that I love you.”

I fell in love with this story. I did remind me a lot of the book series, Hidden Wings by Cameo Renae.

“Once upon a time, an angel and a devil fell in love.
It did not end well.”

Karou is a girl that works for Brimstone and bidding his needs. When called in to their world, he sends her to fetch teeth for him. I did want to know the entire time of the book why he needed teeth. Its okay guys, if you are like me and you want to know, it does get answered at the end of this book. Once she enters a door she wasn't supposed to she begins seeing burnt hand prints on the doors. After being kicked out by Brimestone she doesn't question the handprints.

And lets talk about Akiva. He is an angel sent down to destroy the other world but for some reason he is drawn to Karou. When the town fight broke out between Akiva and Karou, I was like the magic that was still going on.

“It's not like there's a law against flying."
"Yes there is. The law of gravity.”

I think the story was beautifully done. I think the love story was sweet and I wanted Karou and Akiva to finally get together.

When the story began to reveal itself, I was in love with the book. The world building of this book was amazing. I was so glad I picked up this book. I did not let me down. I can not wait to move on to book 2. I hope the story gets better. I don't want to read other reviews because I don't want to be disappointed.
